7 Men: And The Secret Of Their Greatness {A Book Review}

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading 7 Men And The Secret of Their Greatness by Eric Metaxas. It is a terrific book where Metaxas briefly examines the lives of seven men and digs into the root of their greatness.

I enjoyed how the men were split between very familiar, like George Washington, and more obscure (to me at least), like William Wilberforce. Metaxas makes the stories come to life and does a great job connecting what makes the men great to a modern setting. The book is easy to read, with each chapter being bite sized and readable in one sitting. I also really like Metaxas writing style.

I think both men and women would really enjoy this book, but as a man I feel like there are so many practical examples I can take away from the stories in this book. The book has inspired me to be more like the men in this book. Eric Metaxas has written full biographies for two of the men in 7 Men (William Wilberforce in Amazing Grace and Dietrich Bonhoeffer in Bonhoeffer) and I would love to get my hands on those books soon. I highly recommend this book.
