Brave Mom by Sherry Surratt {A Book Review}

Sherry Surratt is the President of CEO of MOPS International and this book, Brave Mom, is related to the theme for MOPS this year which is: Be You, Bravely. I joined MOPS in January and this is my second year to be a part of it. I love the group and hoped the book would give me encouragement and knowledge just like the MOPS meetings do.

Verdict: This book was excellent encouragement and knowledge about motherhood from Sherry herself as well as other moms who are, like me, in the trenches of motherhood daily.

I love the way this book is written intertwining Sherry's own experiences, her research and stories of other moms who are going through experiences of their own each day.

There are many, many aspects of parenthood, mostly related to fears, that are shared in this book but I loved mostly that Sherry shared that all mothers are entitled to their own thoughts about motherhood and we will each have varying fears as we raise children. The important thing is that we look to Christ and to the Bible to find our foundation and our help. Accountability and friends to talk to are so important as well.

This book is an excellent resource for Moms and I will be passing it along to a fellow MOPS mom ASAP!

I received this book for free from BookLook Bloggers in exchange for my honest review.
